The Heggenberger winery is deeply rooted in the tradition of the Lower Austrian thermal region and is characterized by excellent Burgundy wines. Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Weißburgunder and Rotgipfler find exceptionally good conditions in this wine-growing region. The Heggenberger family has been growing wine in Tattendorf since 1932. The business has grown steadily over the years and the original cultivation area has now grown from 3 to 15 hectares. This development is based on loving work, respect for the product and enjoyment of wine.
Today, Andreas and Sigrid Heggenberger run the business. Junior boss Jakob Heggenberger is also already actively involved in the business and has integrated his own wine compositions into the winery's tasty repertoire. Andreas, Sigrid and Jakob Heggenberger share a love of wine and a desire to offer their liquid delicacies to wine lovers from all over the world for tasting.
Pinot Noir and St. Laurent are the flagship wines of the quality company. Both are produced in both classic and reserve qualities on the barren soils of the Steinfeld in Tattendorf. For the tasty white wines, vineyards are cultivated in the traditional wine town of Gumpoldskirchen. The main varieties are the globally unique Rotgipfler and the classic Weißburgunder.
In 2013, the winery was awarded first place in Austria in the “Best Buy” category by the specialist magazine Vinaria for its excellent price-performance ratio. In the representative tasting and sales room, the wine specialties of the Heggenberger winery can be tasted and taken home with expert commentary all year round. A refreshing G'spritzer at the bar, a fine glass of wine to taste, a nice bottle of wine to accompany a tasty meal - what could be more comfortable than a visit to a Heurigen?
The Heggenberger family regularly invites wine lovers to the Heurigen in Tattendorf. Friendly staff ensure that guests have a pleasant time.
