About Us

Welcome to the Späth winery, where we cultivate our vines with great dedication and a sense of responsibility. Our vineyards extend around Großkrut, Althöflein and Ginzersdorf and thrive on loess soils and sandy shell limestone.

Our philosophy is based on sustainable viticulture. We completely avoid pesticides and control weeds purely mechanically to protect our soil and bees. Each grape is carefully picked by hand because we are convinced that this ensures the best quality and at the same time gives us pleasure.

Careful processing

Our harvest is processed in the press house on the Kellerberg. Thanks to the natural gradient, the mash can be treated gently. The wine cellar consists of two vaults of different depths: our white wine is stored in the lower, cooler part, while the red wine reaches optimal maturity in the higher, moist vault.

Our Heurigen restaurant

Our second press house, right next to the wine cellar, serves as a cozy wine tavern when we have the "Open Cellar". It has space for 40 guests and can also be rented for parties. Especially in the warm months, the terrace in front of the cellar is a popular meeting place to taste our gourmet wines in a relaxed atmosphere.
