How to find us

The Austrothek wine bar is centrally located in Munich, at Kapuzinerstraße 29, and is easily accessible by various means of transport.

Getting there by public transport

  • Subway: The nearest subway station is the U3 and U6 station Goetheplatz . From there it is only about a 5-minute walk to our wine bar.
  • Bus: Bus lines 58 and 62 also stop at the Goetheplatz stop.
  • Tram: Tram lines 16 and 18 stop at the Hochschule München (Lothstraße) stop, from where you can reach us in about 10 minutes on foot.

Arrival by car

  • Parking: There are various parking options in the area around the Austrothek. Public parking garages can be found near Goetheplatz and in the adjacent side streets. Please observe the local parking regulations.

On foot or by bike

  • On foot: If you live nearby or want to take a walk, the Austrothek is easily accessible on foot. The central location allows you to explore Munich city center and then stop by our place.
  • By bike: There are enough parking spaces for cyclists in front of the Austrothek. Kapuzinerstrasse is a bike-friendly route and is well connected to the city's cycle path network.

    At Austrotheka you can taste a wide selection of our best wines. Visit us three days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday - from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our expert staff will be on hand to advise you on the selection of wines and give you interesting information about the origin and special features of each wine.

  • Exclusive events and tastings

    Once a month we invite restaurant owners to special tasting events. These exclusive events offer an excellent opportunity to get to know our wines in depth and to get inspiration for your own wine list. In addition, we have special events every year where the winemakers personally introduce their wineries and provide insights into their wine production.
