Welcome to Donauwein, your specialist for Austrian wines in Munich and the surrounding area! Since our founding, we have been passionately dedicated to the trading and shipping of high-quality wines from Austria, especially from the regions of Lower Austria and Burgenland. Our goal is to bring the unique wines of our homeland to you and offer an incomparable enjoyment experience.

Our main market is Munich and the surrounding region. We deliver directly to your home or restaurant so you can enjoy the best wines from Austria wherever you want.

Austrotheka: Our wine shop

In our wine shop, the Austrotheka, you can not only buy the wines, but also taste and enjoy them on site. Visit us three days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday - from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to select your favorites on site.

Wine tastings and events

Once a month we invite restaurant owners to exclusive tastings where they have the opportunity to try our wines in detail and get inspiration for their menus. We also hold annual lectures where each winemaker we work with personally presents their winery and the special features of their wines.

Culinary accompaniment

We offer a selection of cold dishes to accompany our wines. These include various types of cheese straight from the mountain pastures, as well as ham, smoked meats and other delicacies such as olives. We also prepare selected menus with matching wine accompaniment to order, to offer you an all-round successful taste experience.

Our premises

We offer a spacious bar, a showroom and tasting rooms on over 530 square meters. Here you can discover and enjoy our wines in a pleasant atmosphere.

Munich location

Our location in Munich is centrally located and easy to reach. The wine shop and our shop are located here, so you can easily visit us to explore our selection of Austrian wines and buy them directly on site.

  • Tasting and sales

    At Austrotheka you can taste a wide selection of our best wines. Visit us three days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday - from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our expert staff will be on hand to advise you on the selection of wines and give you interesting information about the origin and special features of each wine.

  • Exclusive events and tastings

    Once a month we invite restaurant owners to special tasting events. These exclusive events offer an excellent opportunity to get to know our wines in depth and to get inspiration for your own wine list. In addition, we have special events every year where the winemakers personally introduce their wineries and provide insights into their wine production.

  • Culinary accompaniment

    Enjoy our wines in combination with a selection of delicious cold dishes. We offer various types of cheese straight from the mountain pastures, ham, smoked specialties and delicacies such as olives. For special occasions, you can also order a menu with a suitable wine accompaniment from us. These menus are carefully put together to perfectly complement the aromas of the wines.
